Title: This forum doesn't work right with Internet Explorer 8
Post by: MaximRecoil on June 26, 2010, 04:42:17 pm
If you are typing a message that is larger than the text box, when you get to the point that it should auto scroll for each new line of text, things get screwy; jumping all over the place, and making it difficult to see what you're typing.

Oddly enough, it works fine with IE6.

This is almost FAQ worthy (if it's not already)... Click the Compatibility View button and you should be all set. The Compatibility View button looks like a broken page, usually between the address bar and the refresh button in IE8.

Oddly enough it works fine for me on the laptop with Vista and not on the netbook with Windows XP. Perhaps it's not just the version of Internet Explorer that's the problem?

the title is deceptive....

should be:
Internet Explorer 8 doesn't work right with this forum.

I just locked IE8 into IE7 compatibility mode, then I opened up chrome and the problem went away.
