Title: Cool Breeze Summer Pool Playlist
Post by: LLUncoolJ on June 25, 2010, 12:09:18 pm
I'm trying to throw together a little cheat sheet of pool music. When people come over, they monkey with the jukebox a little, but once they are outside and their songs finish playing, it goes into random mode. I usually go back in and punch up about 15-20 songs, but I'm always racking my brain for pool/beach/tropical music.

I have an extensive collection and knowledge of Buffett and Marley, so no suggestions for those are necessary. I've also been playing a lot of Jimmy Cliff and Jack Johnson lately. Looking for those nice forgotten summertime type songs...what's your favorite?

Judging by the guest selections, everybody wants to hear played out old crap. It's just a matter of which crap.

Well, since the OP did say:

What else then this ?

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsJ5aYK-S6Y&feature=fvw#)

Try to find a better sounding version though...

Oh and of course this one !

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkTRh5YlEVE#)

Try to find the 12" version, I hear it has a brilliant bass solo (I never found it, it's quite rare).

And of course everything Beach Boys, quite incidentally I played the CD in the car today and it fits great with the hot sunny weather here now ! :)

What were those?  I got a message that they contained copyright material which is blocked in my country when I clicked on them.  The first one looks like Dire Straits.

Just had a flashback. Walked into the kitchen and my boy was sitting there all hang dog, by himself.  My brain kicked in with "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold (1976)
