Actually one of them is NOT new.

I saw this at E3, the Time Crisis successor from Namco, Razing Storm which ran on PS3 based System 357 hardware is now coming to home console. They seem to have given it the title 'Time Crisis: Razing Storm' even though it's not a Time Crisis game. 'Time Crisis' is no where in the arcade title but it's probably an advertising thing. Unlike dual screened Time Crisis, Razing Storm uses one screen for both players like most other light gun rail shooters. When I googled up the info, it turns out you get two MORE Namco shooters in with this game.'
Deadstorm Pirates and Time Crisis 4 Arcade Version are also listed as extras. I presume TC4 will lack the extra padding that the stand alone release so it'll just be the core game. While advertised as a PlayStation Move game, it also states that Deadstorm Pirates and Time Crisis 4 support Guncon 3 as well, it's fairly safe to assume the main game will support the Guncon 3 too.
Move support is okay but obviously for the arcade feel I want a plastic toy gun in my hands so I'd go with Time Crisis 4.
I wonder, as Move apparently can be used as a gun (I've even seen a gun handle shell for it) could this mean newer, higher end rail shooters for the PS3? Might we finally get House Of The Dead 4 on home console? :)
Personally I think multiple games on one disc are a good idea. These games are developed as arcade games and the console releases never figured into the development costs. Porting costs are less than original deveopment so the console ports are largely gravy. However most of these games only have 25-40mins of playtime and they traditionally get padded out to make it worth your money. I prefer the idea of several games on one disc to make the it worth it. :)

Hey DJ, thanks for the info!
I also think compilation light gun shooters would be great. I wouldn't mind a Time Crisis, TC Project Titan, TC2-3 and Crisis Zone combo w/updated graphics and both Guncon 2 and 3 support. Or Virtua Cop 1-3, HOTD 1-4, etc...

So will there be actual guns for this?

hmm. Looks like the gun is blowing a bubble...
-
not trying to be a smart ass when I ask this but what is the difference between a light gun game and a light gun rail shooter?

Rail shooter is a game like Time Crisis or Area 51... you move on a 'rail'. Basically, the game moves you, you don't move yourself.

That PS3 move gun looks silly, You would feel like a right ---should be in your pants but its on your head--- playing with that!

It's just a case that holds the PS3 wand. I'm hoping Sony or someone else has enough sense to make a stand alone gun that looks right.
Although the ball(and camera) is what makes the move work in depth, so I it might be necessary for the controller.

The page I linked stated that it supports the Guncon3, Namco's light gun that they released in 2007 for Time Crisis 4. :P Thing is, it was never sold stand alone.

Didn’t bother clicking on the link, will the Time Crisis controller be compatible with Move? If not I don’t see the point. You’re going to have two infrared bars (3 if you also own a Wii) on your TV.
The clown gun is also closer to being right, than the Time Crisis controller that has a directional control pad and buttons for the left hand and a trigger for the right hand.

No, The Guncon 3 isn't compatable with Move, it's just that Time Crisis: Razing Storm is going to support Move, DualShock3 and Guncon 3.
And I'd rather use an LED gun for a game like Razing Storm or Time Crisis 4 since it's the same basic tech used in the arcades themselves. And it just feels nice to have a big classic plastic gun in your hands. :)

if only there was some way you could use the aimtrak on ps3.. hint hint.. that would be sweet!

I'd love for the HOTD and Virtua Cop series to be released on PS3 (or even Wii). I've got Time Crisis 4. Great game, just a shame it's the only rail gun game out right now. Can't wait til this new compilation comes out.
They should try re-release the old Time Crisis games through PSN. God of War I and II have come out for PS3, so why can't Time Crisis 2 & 3...

HotD 2 and 3 -are- on Wii.

They'd bomb. Light gun games always bomb. None of Namco's shooters on PS1 or PS2 ever made it to greatest hits. They are games that NEED the expensive controller in the box to be fun. You can't play them with a gamepad. THis is why the Wii gets all the rail shooters now. It's controller IS a gun. Now maybe MOve can change that but it'd mean games that supported Move not Guncon3. We'd also have to see how well Move does in the market place first.
