Greeting,
Im new here. I rear a lot of toppic here, wiki and our link. I didnt find answers so Im writing them here.
1. At MaLa frontend if I turn on Background music (shuffle, 505 volume, 10x MP3), then they are playing nonstop. Even if I run game, thig music is still playing. Can I disable or shutdown MaLa before game start and turn if back after gem end?
Note: Im using MaLa as fronend for PC games (DDR, ITG, IIDX, ..). All based on Batch commands.
2. Im unable to make work StartUp video. If I entered it at config page, nothing is happened. Just with video:on I have same black lines at menu (menu normally works). With video:off, menu still works without lines.
3. (its probably connected with point 1). I have some buttond set fo game start. If I push if, game normally starts from MaLa. But if I press this key again, it starts next instance. I can run one games 10times .. well .. this is not wanted state. MaLa still reveive comands from Joystick device if game starts? Thats strange.

Point 1 and 3 solved. I start Batch that start other program. (changed "start" to "call" at batch and all works fine).

Mala has options for music to paused at game start, etc. As for controls, be careful what your settings are for each feature.

.......sorry...but pheraps it's a Mala last stable version bug....I remember to have already alerted about that problem....is there any solution now?

I set a video to run and startup and it worked fine. Hace you tried a xvid encoded video?

I just tested it and it works
Set:
options - gui - Game Start/quit - Pause music on game start

but that option is already selected.........however, background music is still playing after a game launching........I'm using 1.62g Mala version!

Anyway ;) 1.62g is an old beta
Please tell me if the issue still exists for you in the latest beta.

....yes, now I've just tried with 1.659 version and the problem is still present.
And worse, loading "out run" game I've got the Mame shell loaded but in background, on the foreground stays the Mala gamelist screen......... :cry:

MaLa loads all the games the same way so I have no idea why "out run" is different for you.
As for the music not pausing you will need to send me your mame.ini as post the last page of error log in verbose mode. It works for me. You are talking about music that 'mala' is running right? Not some other music player?

Excuse me, but where is the 1.6.5.9 of MALA version to download?
I'm using the 1.6.5.0 and i've the same problem that mark_navigator says!

1.659 is so last season, use 1.660 ;D

Yes, it's about background music.....
Here's my mala.ini file.......
About .log file, I didn't get any .log file....(even if I set up verbose mode and error log writing.....)
Ah, another thing, I don't think the loading problem is for Out Run only, I tried another one and the problem was the same......
