Title: Power Supply ?/Incorrectly Wired Joystick & Speakers
Post by: mike boss on June 14, 2010, 05:03:21 pm
EDIT :

I broke the neck on one of my bartop monitors.
I've opted to try using an LCD monitor as my 48-in-1 board will allow it.
By doing so am I correct that I will no longer need the ISOLATION TRANSFORMER and can simply go from the power cord directly into the POWER SUPPLY ?

Just revised this a little.
I have some inexpensive jamma harnesses from China.
And the speakers wires (+/-) are the same color.
In the event that they get hooked up incorrectly would that cause any damage to anything in the cabinet ?
I don't think it would, but I'm still a NOOB and would like to be sure.

I also have some SANWA JLF joysticks.
I found several wiring diagrams for them that indicate which pin is which.
In the event that they are wired wrong (inverted perhaps) and the ground not properly connected could that cause any damage ?

thank you in advance

plus and minus on a single speaker on a jamma harness do not matter.   With stereo you have to keep them the same on each speaker so they are not out of phase.

No, nothing will damage anything. The worst thing could happen is, that only one direction will work  :o
