Title: configure individual game size/resolution manually
Post by: the end melody on June 13, 2010, 10:38:05 pm
Hi all !!

Is there a way to configure a game size/resolution manually?

I'm using mame32 FE (with mame 0.53 // mar 23 2002 version) due to my hardware limitations (pentium III 1 ghz) + arcadevga (ultimarc).

Mame32 only allows me to choose a number of sizes/resolutions from a preset drop list
and in many cases none of the listed sizes is giving me good results on the TV (scart).

Some games adjust perfectly to the screen, I mean proportionally, but others not even close.

Your input would be highly appreciated ;)

note:English is not my first language. Please forgive my grammar.

Thanks!

Check out MAME Resolution Tool or AvRes in the Utilities / Video Tools (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Utilities) section of the wiki.

Hi Headkaze

thanks for the pointers!

I'm sort of a novice in the mame/emulation dept.

The first step to solve de resolution issue seems to be linked to the cfg files thing.

ok!! :D

Research, research, research...
