Title: Complete SNES snapshot collection (collaboration proposal)
Post by: JamieDeb on August 02, 2003, 06:22:56 am: Hi friends, it seems very difficult to collect all the SNES screenshot (or GENESIS...etc)
So, I would like to create a team of "SNES screenshot maker"
(we could then follow with other Emu's ?)

There is about 4000 roms..imagine we are at least 8 or 10..that would reduce the work a lot !
Each one is given a part of the rom list and only work on that part.

I don't know if we should remove some roms before (like PublicDomain, Hack...etc ?) let's talk of it before.

This set contains 800 screenshots(combination of titles and screens) for the USA set. However, I think it would be great if we could get a full clean set of SNES titles and screens - all the same resolution, file type and all using goodtools names, just as TalkingOctopus's set are done. Perhaps you could use TalkingOctopus's set as a starting point and work from there??

There were some other people attempting the SNES set a while back, but I'm not sure what happened to them??

Currently I also have the following sets, but no where to host them! I ran out of webspace a while ago and some of these files are pretty big! If someone has some webspace to host these, please PM me.

Sega Gamegear: 307 screens, 267 titles - 3.3 MB
Sega Genesis (updated set to what is on my site): 3482 screens, 1462 titles - 16.4 MB
TurboGrafix (updated set to what is on my site): 1066 screens, 221 titles - 6.19 MB
Atari Lynx: 151 screens, 162 titles, 136 carts, 128 box fronts, 117 box backs - 22 MB

I'd be happy to join any team willing to help get all these console sets done :)

Sorry TalkingOctopus, I've had a few people send me screens now, and it is hard for me to keep track of who did what! Yes, the SNES ones are yours and I believe Syxx did the original TurboGraphics and Genesis ones. I'll modify my original post to fix my mistake - I apologise for this, you deserve all the credit, after all you made them and host them!
