Hello. I am wondering can I run hacked controllers from 2 different consoles (dreamcast and xbox 360) to one control panel. I am going to be building a cab with a dreamcast and a xbox 360 in it and want to have one control panel that controls both without unplugging anything. Like the A button from the dreamcst controller and the A button from the Xbox controller both wired to the same button on the CP so it will work for wich ever system is turned on. Any one lead me to the light with a tutorial or some info would be great. I hope I havent made this harder than seems. I know I saw Harouman (sp) on here does some great controller hacks that I am sure I will be using.
Thanks
Alex

I dont know about dreamcast but I have ps1 dualshock pad+xbox360 common ground pcb together.
wire +5(blue wire for official dreamcast controller) and the ground(usually black wire) from both pcbs and it will work. just dont have both controllers hooked up at the same time.

that....cant be done. maybe with resisters or something but I never heard of anyone being able to use both pcbs at the same time. just have a usb extension cable outside for plugging/unplugging.

Bumping an old thread for a new product as well as for my own notes & to answer the OP question.

Combine "PCB #2" with "PCB #3" with "Imp PCB"
"Imp PCB"
This PCB functions as a switch between two controllers.
In other words if you have two PCB´s in your arcade stick you can connect them to this PCB and it will switch between the two PCB´s.

I ran all my console's into a DB-25 and a data switch box with a b c d channel one box for each video DB9 box's and cables are best for video cables and the DB25 for the controllers.
I had 3 console's and pc connected to mine.
the DC player 1 and 2 ground needs to be seperate I already went down that road I used the common ground for both and it was nuts so do player 1 and player 2 controls with a seperate ground they can still used as a common ground but only per player controls wise.
so all of the buttons and joys on p1 can use CG and same with P2 but dont use a CG that shares both P1 & p2
I also have a toggle switch to swap between D-pad and analog but the analog only work as a digital but that way all DC games are 100% controllable instead of being limited to just D-pad only games.
I also mounted everything in radio shack project box's to keep them safe from moving bumps etc and also dust free.
it also keep the wiring nice on the DB25's instead of having crazy wire's all over and not knowing what goes where.
it can and has been done with pretty much any console in my collection
