Hi, I'm thinking about buying this JAMMA candy cab, and I want to use it with an xbox 360 to play some of the great jap shmups that are out for the 360.
My question is whether it is possible to connect a 360 to the arcade monitor that is already installed in the cab.

the 360 can be hooked up to nearly every screen one could imagine . from tv with composite in to plasma 1080 p via dmi , vga analog , digital dvi , rgb scart , component ,whatever. but if its not minimum vga mode 640x480 progressive its no fun at all and games like soul calibur or virtua tennis are lookin lousy.
if ure buying a trisync or vga cabinet u may connet ur box via sub d vga plug . its the easiest way and i displays most of the games in reasonable quality.some may look better in 720 p and a few maybe in 15 k ( i dont like the lowres output of the 360 ) .

The system should be capable of outputting 480i RGB to a 15khz monitor. This will look similar in quality to a tv that is displaying the game in 480i component on a CRT TV.
Personally I think that this is perfectly acceptable for gameplay. It doesn't look as good as progressive mode, but it's not utter crap either.

Do I need some kind of special adapter? I've never seen an Arcade monitor before. I don't know what the inputs are.

There will be some adapters or hacking involved. What kind of arcade monitor does it have? A model number will be very helpful. The type of candy will also be helpful if you don't know the model of monitor.
Like apelfani said, if you're lucky the cab will be 31khz capable and have a VGA connector right on the back.

Damn, I got so excited when I saw it that I didn't realize it was 14 hours away. I would have been willing to drive like 5 hours max. So I guess I'm gonna keep looking.
