Not sure if this has been posted yet but I saw THIS (http://item.ebay.com/150449483807#ht_1652wt_1138) on Destructoid. The price is $800 as of now.

It seems like you could build one of a more comfortable size for half the price :)

Interesting....so you'd have to put this on top of a table...a tabletop-tabletop? Seems kinda pointless...but cute little project nonetheless.

Ya that was my first thought.. cute.... Like something that would be cool to have on my desk at work.

The auction has been removed. Nice product, very small screen. Too much money.

You have not seen table top cabinets by people here?

All of the relevant info on this thing can be found HERE (http://www.neverknowtech.com/home/2010/6/1/miniature-cocktail-arcade-cabinets-are-adorable.html).
I'm wondering why the auction got pulled.... maybe someone reported it because it comes with MAME and some ROMs? Either way, I would feel a little uncomfortable selling something like that for a number of reasons...
- what if it breaks?
- the joysticks look like 8-ways which is fine but not suitable for all games (although maybe people don't know the difference?)
- the craftsmanship is just OK. In the video you can see multiple places on the cabinet that aren't "perfect" or at least to a standard that I would expect if I spent $800 on something. The speaker cutouts really jumped out at me.
- no t-molding!
I like the design though and if the guy ever decides to make more I'm sure he can improve upon what he's already got.

No, in the 3 years being a member, 6 years lurking...I have never seen a cocktail cabinet project here, meant to be placed on top of a table top.
Fully read the statement. A "tabletop-tabletop". :whap

Someone should totally make a tabletop, table-top....mmmmm.......wait for it..................... TABLETOP!

From youtube: "I'm so sorry guys! In the auction, at the bottom I had said that I would build other items on commission if anyone wanted something made. Apparently this violated ebay's terms and conditions. You aren't allowed to talk about selling items outside of ebay on an ebay auction."
Even still he was pretty blatant in the videos... here are the roms etc... I've got roms too, hell most of us do, but selling them like that crosses my personal line. I wouldnt feel comfortable having an ebay ad with a loaded cabinet.
But... I do like that little mini tabletop.. and good point, we've never seen one on this site before. Ok.. who wants to whip one up? I'll confess I already checked ebay for cheap netbooks...

Cool idea, Wouldn't the correct classification be a bartop cocktail?
