Title: Trackball option?
Post by: Smeghead on June 01, 2010, 12:38:58 am
Do you think this might work as a trackball alternative?
I already have one and it works fine as a mouse, I would just have to mount it under the controller sticking through a hole
Just not sure.....I dont think I can do an arcade trackball mouse hack myself, I just suck at soldering
The ball is   2 3/8" in diameter

That's how people used to include track balls in their cabs back in the day.  Today, it seems like most people have more money than time and just install a Happs or Benson unit.  I imagine that the fact that large ball PC trackballs are rare at this point might have something to do with this.
