So, I thought it might be kind of fun to have a touchscreen on the side of a cab I'm still planning on building this summer. The side touchscreen would be used mostly for the jukebox mode, and maybe for playing some touchscreen games. I ordered a 15" ELO touch screen.
Here are the ideas
1. duplicate the main screen, so whenever someone is playing the side screen will always be displaying what is being played on the cab, and if I have some games that take advantage of the touch screen they could then make use of that.
2. Extend the screen onto the second screen screen and have the jukebox software stay on the second screen. This way people can change music while the other people keep playing.
What do you guys think?

I doubt I would ever put a monitor on the side of a cabinet, but then I do not play a bunch of touchscreen games though . I would probably figure out a way to use the main monitor for touchscreens as well as joystick type games more comfortably before I put a monitor on the side of a cabinet. I guess You would always have to maintain a few feet distance on that side of the cabinet, so you could never push your cabinet up against a wall or another machine in the future.

yeah... good point, unfortunately there's no way to integrate touchscreen functions into my main screen, but I could save this monitor for a side project, another option, I could make some kind of housing for it, and mount it near the cabinet on the wall, it may be annoying to see the wire coming out of the cabinet though, but oh well

They have these touch screen overlays. Never used one but I know they exist. You might be able to find one the size of your screen.

Make a separate Juke!
There's a thread Greyhnd started about his "Rat Rod" juke he's building in an old RCA console television cabinet that looks fantastic.
I bet there's plenty of things a 15" touchscreen would fit into.
OR just buy a cheap frame from Ross, cut it down, frame the screen and mount it on the wall, run the cables through the wall to a PC on the other side.
One day, I'd like to do that too. Ah projects!

Yup! That's exactly what I decided to do. My sister gave me an old dell that has a non-working screen, so I'll just put that aside for the future. I can't make a hole in the wal yet, I live in an apartment. I do like the rat rod project though, I just don't want another piece of furniture. What size frame do you think would fit a 15" elo monitor?
