Ok.. so I signed up for the silver account so I can download all the tables I want, but when I try to start visual pinball 9 it mentions that some things are missing and that vpinmame cannot start.
So, is there anyway I can just launch the table without all the extra score windows and stuff like that? or do i need other files? I get these messages: sega.vbs , seva.vbs ver 3.02 or higher reqiured, object required vpmnudge, type mismatch: vpminit,
I tried launching south park Ozpin v.1.0

ok i decided to try a differnt game... i put the samples in the samples folder, and the vbs scripts in the same folder as the table.
I also decided to switch tables, so i tried Black Night and the table loaded!, but the start button "1" does not work, I started the program as administrator so I'm not sure what's going on anymore.
Do I need any other files?

You need to edit the VPMkeys.vbs script file to change to the keys you want to use. And it seems like there may be one other file that needs to be edited but I don't have access to my arcade machine right now.

yes I pressed 5...
I think it was an issue with that specific table, and I can't get the southpark table to work but many others tables do work. There's also some weird graphical glitches. It's hard to describe, but there's lines near the flippers sometime and it seems the sprites tear or have a gap. Hmm

The glitches sound like your video card. What make/model video card do you have and what version of VP are you running? I used to get a ton of glitches like the ones you are describing (lines and honeycombing) with my ATI 4870. Everyone tends to stick with Nvidia for VP as you do not get these glitches. However, I believe VP 9.05 was supposed to fix these glitches associated with ATI video cards.

The .exe file is named vpinball907, and I do have an ATI card.. which may explain the issues. Oh well =/
I was wondering though, some games require roms or zip files to run properly.. are these files similar to mame roms? I mean, do the same legal issues surround those files? or can I freely find those files on the vpforums?

I've been using an ATI card with my new Quad I7 and I have no glitches, so it's not an ATI issue, though it could be an ATI DRIVER issue. Make sure you are using the 10.3 drivers.
For the installation itself, there should be an all-in-one package you can download that should ensure everything is installed where it should be.
