Ha, that's for sure original, at least I've never heard of that. I've seen large scale models, but not ones that worked or anything. If you decide to go for it I'll be watching with interest.
It would be cool if the features of the bottom, maybe where some buttons were, were where you could insert tokens or somthing... hmm.

IIRC each one of the carts pushes a particular arcade button at the bottom of the cart slot when inserted into the GB which then loads the corresponding MAME based game.
I think that's correct anyway, its ages since I read about it. The site I linked to has some pictured butdoesn't seem to have much information. I'm sure you could find some more if you dig a little.

Back in the day there were in store display cabinets shaped like gameboys.
I remember one in the Babage's in my town.

i like the green plexi they put over the B&W monitor so that it keeps the "look"
