Update:
The TVs remote works intermitant at best (from a charity shop) so accessing the service screen isnt going to happen.

Im using the newest ATI Catalyst (10). There is a section for screen adjustment but I dont think soft15 likes it as the screen rolls whenever I click an adjuster.

The testing continues........

top-bottom on vertikal or horizontal mounted tv ?  check the osd and if there is no option for vert and hor size u find a coil on the chassis to adjust the screen size . forget bout the software nonsens .

in case ur tv is < 1o years old it may have a useful osd. google the modell for servicemode and get a fitting remote .
