Title: Is there Plans/Tutorials for Reproduction builds of popular games?

Hi
as the subject says... is there plans or tutorials on how to build a brand name cabinet from scratch? I was thinking of doing a pacman cabinet... just wondered if there was any walkthroughs on that and other popular games? I know that many people make replicas.

Any links or advice would be great.. I have been searching the boards.

www.jakobud.com (http://www.jakobud.com) has some plans of original cabinets.

Jaks site is great, however I am wondering if anyone has made a prelica Pacman>?? I am sure they have just looking for links so I can try it!

Just be aware that jakobud's Galaga drawings are quite a bit off. I think the Pacman drawings are correct though.

Thanks. Also where does one find all the repo artwork? I thought there used to be loads online, but I checked mamemarquees and emdkay with no luck... what are some other sources?

I think most printers won't do copyrighted artwork. You could by the licensed stuff from twobits (http://www.pac-man.com/pacman/upright/front/).

If you're going for a Ms Pacman than you could try to get stencils made that JoyMonkey drew up:

Hey
I see all kinds of reproduction artwork but not pacman.. the site you gave has it but its much more than I anticipated..... :( too bad no one prints it....

Yeah, that's because twobits has licensed the artwork for those cabs and only they are allowed to reproduce it.

Of course it's all so a full side print. That makes it more expensive than the smaller side art of other cabs. A Galaga artwork set is only half that of a Pacman set.

Galaxian uses the same shape cabinet.

Ms Pacman and Galaga have a slightly different cabinet, but it looks pretty similar.
