Just looking for some some games, i made my cab with the intentions of playing a handful of games that i played when i was a kid. But now have the full set on there and have discovered some gems that i never had a chance to play.
So just recommend games for me to play! maybe one day we can make a top 500 list or somthing.
Solid,
Ps: seached the forums for somthing similar to no avail. If there is link to it as it may have slipped through my net.

I like those threads. I always discover new games to play.
You should add to your list hat trick (hockey) and windjammers.
-
i could post my gamelists .. but it all depends on personal preferences. u better keep the gamelist short . 5oo+x in a list is complete nonsens . 50 vertikal + 50 horizontal are more than enough . the more u have the less u play.

Not nonsense at all...my favourites list is at least 300+ plus games and I play a lot of them depending on my mood. Saves me time hunting for games in the complete list. ;)

Prehistoric Isle 1930
Snow Bros Jr
Dragon Blaze
Street Fighter Rainbow (fireballs in the air!)
Flicky
Ms Packman Speed Hack

I've been using the random game button in the complete list to find new games, then add them to my fav list if they are good.

Jumping Jack
Lady Killer (M)
Juno First
Chicken Shift
Bagman
There are tons!

+1 to Windjammers, Its like an extreme Frisbee or Flying Disc game and its good, maybe it wouldne be a good comp because its kinda short.

+1 The main reason to buy a TT2 IMHO.

I'm a huge 1943/44 fan and love the scrolling shooter genre so I'll throw Battle Bakraid to that list. It gets overlooked a lot due to the fact that its one of the "newer" versions of this type of game. I believe it was only released in Japan, but I stumbled on it a few years back and love it.

Agreed, fantastic game...although Typhoon 2001 is a good vie for that spot ;)

Some more listed here:

Added a few fun games to my Main game list on my cab.

These lists always neglect the awesome Rolling Thunder.
-
Typhoon 2001 is not a MAME game, but it does look pretty cool.
-
One thing I like about the front end that I use (GameEx) is the 'similar games' that it will list when you select a game. I've found lots of new favorites that way. Also has lists built in for games by type, manufacturer and year.

Just tried battle bakraid myself. Hooked instantly :D This is a great recommendation for vertical shoot em up fans!

Along those lines is Power Play (soccer). It's a 2 x 2 top-down game like Hat Trick but with a bigger playing field and added difficulty of controlling a soccer ball. Don't forget to throw punches on defense!

1000 Miglia: Great 1000 Miles Rally is a fun joystick driving game. There are a few others in this genre that I don't enjoy nearly as much.

Another good one is Desert War, a vertical flying shooter with the added twist of needing to land to rescue POWs.

Also, +1 on Cameltry. It's a must try if you have a spinner (should work with trackball too?)

Could Journey be the most ridiculous arcade game ever? It's actually pretty challenging and fun. Pump a few dollars worth of quarters into this one before giving up on it. ;)

I could list hundreds but I recommend trying BLAZING STAR and ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE ROBOT MONSTERS (AKA the only two games I made themes for in Hyperspin).
Also found a little game called Peggle (not to be confused with the PopCap game) that's slightly annoying in the sound-effect department but amusing enough for at least a look.

I never said it was a MAME game...I responded to the best reasons to own a TT2 Spinner...and still maintain that Typhoon 2001 is one of the best reasons to own one.

Gyruss is one of those gems that I would never have found if not of these boards. Another one I've found is Wiz Warz. It's similar to Tempest but you use the joystick to shoot along with several other differences. It's listed as 'prototype' in Mame and I haven't been able to find much info on it.
