Celebrities in Vancouver is hosting an 80's night featuring arcade games, music and dancing. I've got a dinner to go to, but will probably be there later on to see what games they have and how the party is.

RESTRICTED ENTERTAINMENT and GALAXION team up to deliver an over-the-top 80's New Wave Gala, insane long weekend party-style! We're bringing you back to the arcade, along with a huge helping of 80's style and MUSIC!
We'll be transforming Celebrities into an 80's arcade, complete with vintage arcade machines and classic console gaming on all screens. We then melt your hair playing a huge new wave mix for the dancefloor. So put on your favourite Keds and ready your thumbs!

Damn I wish I had heard of this sooner...would have been fun to double date this with my buddy/wife and me and my wife...hmm 80s camouflage or parachute pants? ;)

Yeah, this is the first year I'm going, apparently they have it on every year. This is the third year it's been on I think.
Time to break out my chucks and white blazer!

Well, like I suspected, it turned out to be not so fruitful in the arcade front. There were 4 cabinets, awkwardly placed at this club-scene venue.
- Bombjack (kit install) cabinet sat outside in-front of the club.
- Narc cabinet in front of the bathrooms
- Superman (in a blingy chrome t-molding, stainless bat-tops, metal CP and light buttons) sat beside the coat check-in.
- A cocktail Twin Cobra/Kyuukyoku Tiger cabinet sat in the back lounge area with 2 big projectors that were hooked up to those Namco arcade TV toys.
But, the rest of it was fun! A lot of 80's music, people dressed up, dancing, booze. Just not a lot of arcade :(

Also, I think that guy grabbing his behind just shat himself playing or watching someone play Bomb Jack. Beware! :lol

They have straight nights, i think it's thursdays or something. Anyway, my friend bartends there (he's also straight) and he meets a ton of girls there which I find amusing. I'm sorry I missed the party, maybe next year.
