So I decased a 21" Sony Trinitron Monitor for a Mame machine. Was using it today without issues, then I held the control panel and now I can not get the monitor to connect. The control panel was unprotected and may have pressed up against the aluminum tape on the monitor tube. The orange light still blanks and will sometimes go green if I press it against that aluminum tape, but won't connect. I looked on the back and it doesn't seem like any solder points are connected. I did hook up a Dreamcast and still same thing, won't sync.
Any ideas on how to fix this and to get the control panel working again? Here is a pictures:
