Title: A JTAG Journal (And other various Xbox 360 modding)
Post by: Mauzy on May 21, 2010, 12:05:45 pm
Since I don't have any restorations to document, I figured I'd keep track of my my latest project - JTAG-ing an old Xbox 360. I will be following an online tutorial, but nothing ever goes as those things say for me.

My console has a (mechanically) bad DVD drive, so I may go through the process of replacing that as well. Might ditch the drive all together and put in a big hard drive in its place.

This console is a Xenon from February of 2006, it had no case screws holding it together. Didn't have an Xclamp fix or anything of that sort on it, but jesus it runs hot! Cooling mods are in order here as well. Its currently running kernel 4552.

Pics to come!

Dude a step-by-step walkthrough that makes since would be amazing, especially with detailed and labeled pics.
