Title: Moutning/Setup of 1xxx-in-1 Jamma Questions
Post by: Larrabee on May 14, 2010, 08:22:16 pm
So my 1069-in-1 comes tomorrow and I am finishing my cabinet prep tonight. I have a bunch of questions, I appologise as I am very new to arcade machines and the 1xxx in 1.

1. Does the 1xxx come mountable so I can screw it into the side of my cab like the CPS2 that used to be there?

2. I still have the power supply from the old machine in there, but the ONLY thing it will be powering will be the light behind the marquee right (as I am using a VGA CRT not the original monitor)? Does the ATX power supply that comes from jammaboards.com power the pc part and the jamma board? If so, can I power the light from the ATX power supply?

3. Should I install more fans?

4. Any other tips for optimal 1xxx in 1 use?

Here are some images for reference. THANK YOU!

1 - yes
2 - you can use only the ATX power supply but you will have to splice one of the hard drive/cd molex connectors and use the 12v, 5v, and ground to splice into the jamma harness to power the jamma controls... or just use the power supply from machine especially if its already connected to the jamma harness
3 - i dont
4 - edit by saint - don't link to or refer to where to buy illegal boards please

Links to xxxx in 1 boards are not allowed as they are probably based on MAME and are distributed with ROMs.
