I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before.
I'm running the Mala frontend on Windows XP Professional (32-bit) and using the UltraStik Mapper 1.3 plug-in. Whenever Mala starts, I get the following error message:
"Run-time error '53' File Not Found: libusb0.dll"
I suspect is has something to do with this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/, (http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/,) but for the life of me I have no idea what needs to be done with it. Running the .exe doesn't seem to do much of anything.
Copying the libusb0.dll from the file above to my system directory makes the first error go away, but gives me a new one:
"Run-timer error '453': Can't find dll entry point usb_open_by_id in libusb0.dll"
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks!

have you just installed the U360? So first-time use?

"...first time use?"
Sort of. It's been installed in my cabinet's control panel for over two years and was working flawlessly with my original installation of XP and Mala for a long time until I recently upgraded my motherboard/CPU and did a fresh install.

Have you downloaded the latest version?

Have you downloaded the latest version?
Of UltraMap? Yes, I have 1.0.19 (August 07). The plugin for MaLa is also current: 1.3. I have the most-recent, non-beta release of MaLa: 1.05a.

I had a similar or even the same error message, when I installed my U360s.
The mistake I did was that I plugged in all of my 4 U360s at once. By installing only one the software worked. And then I could hook up the other ones.

Unfortunately, I just have one.

Can you apply maps directly in UltraMap?
-
I just tried to go into Ultramap.exe and it gives me the 'error 53' so I'm thinking the plugin isn't the issue.

Andy was kind enough to let me know that I was running the wrong version. Not sure how I missed that since I was dead sure that I already had 1019 installed.
Oh, well. Live and learn -- I feel REALLY embarrassed. :(
Thanks everyone for your advice. This is such a great community!
