Title: Can you help identify a NES game?

I think this may have been a NES launch game, its the earliest I remember at least. Anyway it had something to do with going up the steps inside the round tower or maybe the outside of a mountain and avoiding or throwing bombs at the enemies. I seem to remember going up in a circular rotating manner.

I never had a NES when I was younger, but I'd like to play it if I knew what it was called. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks.  I watched an Angry Video Game Nerd review.  I don't think that was it.

No, it had more of a top down view.  Thanks though.
