i bought a space zap with the ht anode lead broke.now i could replace the faulty part but,the monitor has realy bad screen burn, its not even the original monitor for the cab as it has baseball game burn in.
what i want to know is,could i just buy a replacent monitor and chassis and just swap it out,its a wg v1001 (i think)
the monitor is b/w,the game is b/w and uses a colour overlay.so that would rule out using a clour monitor wouldnt it?
can b/w tv tubes be used as replacement tubes for arcade monitors,i always hear lots of people asking about the possibilities.if i got a tube it still means i got to replace the faulty part so i would think that to get a replacement monitor is best.
so can i just swap the current monitor out to a replacement b/w and if i got a colour is there a catch?
thanks.

i have discharged the monitor and have removed it with the chassis from the cabinet.i have been told that a colour monitor will work, all the wires have to be joinged (or something, more about that when the time comes) unless someone knows more and can explain.
basicly i have been told by someone that a colour monitor will do the job,he said he has already dont it on a space zap before.
anyone might be able to shed some light.might be something to do with the r g and b wires (something about joining them)
i am on lookout for a monitor now but,if its true about colour monitor then it broadens my options.
