Title: Pausing Mame + Joust probs

Hey all,  

I have a pause button on my cab...it pauses the games, but how on earth do I unpause them?  ???

Also - Joust says factory defaults restored and then just sits there.  Is this normal?? Do I have to wait 5 min for it to boot?

Press the pause button. ;D

Press F3 key to "reboot" the game.  
After this, you shouldn't get stuck here again, but you need a writable "nvram" folder so the joust.nv file can be written and saved.

Doh...The pause feature must be broke in the version of mame I am using...66b.  Pressing the pause button again does nothing :( .

For Joust and some other Williams games you need to hit F8 (Advance) to get past the factor defaults message.

I figured  out why pause did not work!!  I had it set to left mouse button.  While mame is paused it no longer accepts mouse input.  I switch pause to another button and it works great  ;D.
