Hi there.
Was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm in the process of building a 2-player fight stick using 2 hacked XBOX 360 controllers. I ordered happ buttons, joysticks and ordered the t-molding to fit 3/4 inch wood.
Since I got inspired with Super Street Fighter IV I thought I'd put some artwork on it so I went out and bought a piece of 1/4 plexi. My question is how hard would it be to make the slot for the T-molding on a 1/2 plywood? (You see it can't be centered since the plexi is 1/4 inch).
Or would it be easier to use 3/4 inch plywood and just shave off 1/4 of the bottom of the CP so the plexi is still covered by the T-molding. I really don't want to order some more T-molding. ANy suggestions?
???

get some 1/8" plexi instead...you definitely don't need quarter inch & that way you'll have more plywood to support the t-molding...

Also, if you use the 1/8 plexi, you can use a razor (and steady hand) to trim the t-molding down a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll post a pic before I give it a go. Funny thing is I'll have the same issue with the bartop's CP I'm building.

I have a similar issue, want to use the 3/4 t-mold I have on my control panel, and I already have 3/4 t-mold. Doesn't someone sell offset t-molding for this case?

I read on a different post that you can bevel the bottom of the control panel, this should allow you to raise the t-molding enough to cover the plexi. I didn't save the link () where I read this but I did print out an image. (sorry it's black and white). I'll be giving this a try later this week when I have some free time so I'll post pics then.
