I played an arcade game YEARS ago that I loved. It was a bit gruesome though. Problem is, I can't recall the name.
The main character was a tiny little guy. Or a normal guy in a giant world. Either way, you spent most of the game riding on animals. Most of your special attacks would decapitate enemies and you could collect their skulls. The skulls are what you would use to upgrade gear. Your weapons would change depending on the animal ridden. For example, at the beginning you could ride a tiger type critter and your little guy would use a morning star. The special attack would wrap the morning star around monsters necks and you would spin in a circle till the head popped off. Another mount was effectively a gorilla and it would jump on things shoulders and physically tear their heads off.
Any ideas what this game is?

Holy crap, that's it!
The local booze store had this game when I was a kid and I played the heck out of it. Been trying to recall the name for years.
