Iam looking into getting a Wells-Garner D9800. When shopping around I found that xArcade sells this monitor in (2) versions; Convex and Flat. Then I went directly to the Wells-Garner website and I found out that I can buy directly from them, but I can only find the flat screen version of the D9800. Am I missing something? I put the links below. What are the Pros/Cons? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure they sell it with a curved screen (ie. that's the older D9400 not the D9800)? You should contact XArcade, I'm guessing the picture is wrong and they only sell the D9800 now (which only comes with a flat screen).

d9800 is flat tube only
d9400 is discontinued and came with a curved tube

Yep flat tube only. I have two of them and so far great monitors.

I sorta want the authentic old school Convex look , but am I correct in saying that since it is flat and not curved there is less distortion in the corners of the screen? Anyways I am glad to hear you like the monitor and I will be buying this monitor once the funding comes in. Thanks for the help!

There are still options for that. You can try NiemanDisplays (http://niemandisplays.com/nieman_video_displays_009.htm) for example.
I got these monitors (D9800) because of the tri-sync capability. I play a mix of emulators and PC games and wanted the range of resolutions.
