Title: Reccomend a good racing wheel?
Post by: Howard_Casto on April 27, 2010, 01:09:21 am
I'm looking for a racing wheel with TRUE force-feedback that will work on the pc and 360.  Before you mention the official 360 wheel, afaik only rumble is supported on the pc.  If, however you can tell me how to interface the force-feedback element of the 360 wheel, that would be perfect.

act labs force rs

each part pedals, shifter, wheel are all expensive though and I have no clue if they work on the 360.

most 3rd party 360 wheel sets are junk.

There are only 2 force feedback wheels for 360.  The MS wheel which, you are right, does not support FF on PC, and the Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel (http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=250&lang=en), which supports force feedback on PC, 360 & PS3.

The Fanatec wheel does cost some $$$, but it is an excellent wheel. I believe the base model with pedals and shifters is $350. I paid $500 for mine, but it came with ClubSport pedals, which are all aluminum pedals with a load cell and vibration feedback for the brake. If you have the money for it, then I highly recommend it. It is very high quality, and its compatibility and features are unparalleled.

Crap... well thanks guys, that's what I was afraid of.  For that price I can buy a modest 360 wheel AND a pc one, I just wanted to eliminate accessory bloat.
