Title: "Sliced" on The History Channel
Post by: AcidArmitage on April 22, 2010, 11:23:15 pm
http://www.history.com/shows/sliced/videos/playlists/exclusive-videos#sliced-sneak-peek (http://www.history.com/shows/sliced/videos/playlists/exclusive-videos#sliced-sneak-peek)

I just stumbled across this show just as this guy chops a perfectly new NBA pinball machine right in half to see how a "tilt" mechanism works....  ::)

i nearly ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- a brick.

Just another gimmick show.  It's just like that show where the big guys smash buildings for no reason.

It's funny that they cut some of that stuff up since it would be easier to see what's going on the right way.  Taking the playfield and backglass out would be easier and people might actually learn something.  Oh well, I guess it's entertaining to someone.   :dunno

yea they cut through a fully rebuilt 1960s slot machine and said wow theres a lot of stuff in hre

didnt really show how it worked just that the stuff pours out when you cut it open.

yeah the moto of the show and what he does kinda defeats the purpose.

cuttin a slot machine in half is not going to tell you how it works really or what makes it tic lol.

pulling the top off the pool table made sense but the rest I seen in the previews looked plain silly and pointless.

might as well just blow them up its faster and you get more parts  :timebomb:

Stupid, stupid show. It's taking up time slots that should belong to Pawn Stars and American Pickers.

The pool table...he could have just removed the top by removing the rails and pulling off the top.  Cutting it is more dramatic...and stupid.

i just wanted to smack the guy during the whole show. especially when he ripped the top of the pinball table instead of... rotating it  :dunno

Sliced -  ::)
Hadn't seen the first episode.... the previews alone was enough to determine it's principal versus what is actually being done is a rediculous concept. Common sense tells you that most things open up or are accesible for viewing to "see how it works".
To bring a chainsaw into the picture is purely for dramatic effect, nothing more.
It's a show that won't last long.

Anyone seen the movie "Idiocracy"?  It's shows like "Sliced" that make that movie really sound prophetic.
