Title: AVGA3000 card blocked by ATX-CON slot! help!
Post by: Jefferson on April 21, 2010, 12:32:59 am
soo my brand new avga card can't physically fit in my pci-e slot cause the little fan grill thing on the card presses up against the connector that's going to a slot named ATX-CON. Which looks like its the power supply.

soo I'm only getting partial penetration.

like I'm not able to go all the way. Am I being clear enough?

Is there like an 'extender' or a cable I can use for the pci-e to get it outta the way? Or an alternate place I can put the power wires? Pics soon! Any help in the meantime?

A picture or the make and model number of the MB would help.

Well, that motherboard is pretty badly designed.

I'm not sure how well it'll work, but there are some riser adaptors here (http://www.logicsupply.com/categories/accessories/pci_riser_cards). You'll need a PCI-e x16 one.
