Title: what are most of you using for consol controls?
Post by: ewingmeister on April 19, 2010, 11:04:41 pm
I am planning on building my first arcade cabinet, i will be using my xbox 360 on it. I am trying to do it as simple as possible. What are most of you using for your console controllers? I do not plan to and do not have the means to solder buttons and such. I was going to get a xarcade controller for it but i keep hearing about horrible lag problems with these when using them on consoles through adapters. Is there anyway i could use the new tekken arcade bundle and mount to controls to a board to make it look nicer. I do not mind having only one set of controls on the cabinet.

A lot of people use wire crimps if you don't like soldering. You should give it a try tho. You'll need the skill if you stay in the hobby long.

But if you want to do the crimp thing then go with a keyboard encoder and you can build your control anyway you want.
