It appears I have (2) cut wires on my #23 adapter for a B&K rejuvenator I just bought on Ebay. I just received it a couple of days ago, and today finally got around to cleaning it up a little. It was a little dusty and musty, so I carefully gave it a good surface cleaning. Well, during this I noticed the #23 adapter (have heard it's the most important one for arcade monitors like the WG K7000 in my MK) had wires apparently cut.
The 2 wires are labeled as GRD (Ground I imagine) and FOCUS GRD (Focus Ground) where they protrude from the adapter. Here are pics showing the wires, one showing the eight wires that are still intact, and one showing the connector on the #23 adapter. Is this supposed to be this way or is this adapter damaged? There are only eight conductors inside the end that plugs into the cord from the 467, so either someone clipped the wires and then completely removed them from that connector, or this is supposed to be that way. Any help here? THANKS!

In the black Molex connector end there should be empty holes at pins 3, 5, 9, and 11.

it appears to be wired correctly. i wouldn't worry about it, technical stuff gets modded all the time. They release a service bulletin and tell you to hack off some wires or change a resistor, tweak a pot. supposed to make them work better or more reliably (or something to that effect)
another guess it was old stock for another unit that went obsolete, and they had a ton of the sockets left over, so they used them up. (cheap-o cheap-os) :P

I guess the adapter is fine. I went ahead and used it to rejuvenate a Well-Gardner K7197 monitor that was very faded-looking Sunday. Everything seemed to work as expected with the rejuvenator and the adapter. Wished the tube was in better shape. I have some questions about the results in another topic in this section...

Yeah there is, Ken. Those exact holes are vacant. Thanks.

My CR-23 has the cut wires as well.

Since mine seems to work as it should, my guess is they are there from when the adapter was born... (would you like to cut the CORDS Mr. CR-23 Senior?)... Lol!
