Title: Is it possible to convert a PDF into a Sketchup file?
Post by: javeryh on April 13, 2010, 12:07:44 pm
I have floor plans and elevations for my house in PDF format.  I am thinking about adding an addition but I want to play around with it in Sketchup (a program I am trying to teach myself).  Is it possible to convert the PDF files into something usable?

Open the PDF in Illustrator and save as DWG. Then Sketchup can read them.

Hmmm... OK, I guess I'd have to have Illustrator to do that, right?  Can I DL it somewhere for free like a demo or trial?
