Title: How to change XP resolution?
Post by: JoeB on July 29, 2003, 12:01:42 pm
Is there any other tool (outside of anything that sits on the taskbar) to change the resolution of Windows to non-standard resoltions for the ArcadeVGA???

The problem with my WindowsXP install is that somehow the taskbar got corrupt, and shows no icons (known XP flaw).

Thanks.

Powerstrip has a quick taskbar component, but I'm pretty sure you can access it from the Start menu, too. I've never used it with an ArcadeVGA, but it's a very good program. I would venture to guess it would do the job for you.

You can also check the Display Properties > Advanced > Adapter > List All Modes to get some additional Windows XP resolutions.

I used this menu to set it to 640 x 480 for my T.V. and ATI 7500.

if you just need to get 640x480 then also check out a program called TV Tool.
