Title: Parting out my cabinet!
Post by: ZippySLC on July 29, 2003, 12:00:08 pm
Edit: Removed things that have been sold.

PRICE DROP! I just want to sell this stuff!

Well, I have realized that the fun for me was building the cabinet, and not even playing it really. So I think that I am going to try to recoup some of my investment and sell the parts of it here. I may build another one later on down the road.

Here's what's for sale:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (1.6ghz) based system. (AOpen MK77M II motherboard), 256MB PC2100 RAM, 100gb drive, 52x cd-rom, floppy, In-Win Micro-ATX case. $250 REDUCED!

2 Side-art panels and Marquee by Emdkay, never installed, "Woody" style - $30 REDUCED!

Ex-Final Blow JAMMA cabinet, modified for this MAME machine. Still has Final Blow marquee and cardboard bezel, side art removed, but sides not repainted yet. Has working over/under coin door, already wired to accept a PC drive connector for power. WG 19" arcade monitor with burn in (hey, it was made in 1989), wires from monitor already brought down to a terminal block. I'd like NOTHING - COME GET IT (REDUCED) for the cabinet without all of the MAME stuff. - pending!

How hard would it be to convince you to trade balls in our trackballs? I have been looking for a translucent blue or red one, but haven't found one for less than like $17. I don't wanna take just your ball cuz that would render the rest of your TB useless. How would a trade sound, though? Your ball for mine. I've never used the TB. It's brand new out of the box with a white 3" ball. It's a Betson Imperial 3" PS/2 TB.

Also, how large is your side art and marquee?

I just want to sell the thing, not take it apart and deal with swapping stuff around. Sorry.

The side art is 34x16" and the marquee is 24x8.

There is an integrated 4x agp card on the MB. What exactly it is, I don't know.

Here's the specs on the motherboard.

Is there any blue at all in your sideart/marquee? I'm looking for something with red and blue in it, but I'm pretty sure it only has red.

I'd be very interested in one of the universal joysticks and possibly some of the buttons, please email me if they become available.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, what are you doing with your actual cabinet?

Can you post a picture of the cabinet?  Dimensions?

Thanks  ;D

EDIT:  I just viewed several pictures through your www link.  I'm not sure what state the cabinet is in now though, after the parts being removed.

Can you post a picture of what it looks like now?

I will post pics when I get home.

It's more or less the same now. I didn't repaint it or add your side art or marquee to it. The inside is open, with the monitor isolation transformer mounted on the side of the cab. The coin door is working, with the lights spliced into a drive connector. (All you need to do is plug it into a PC power supply and it works.)

The sides are sanded and ready to paint. The final blow marquee and bezel are still installed.
