Title: Connecting car spearkers to my computer. Need help please!
Post by: JensYmer on April 05, 2010, 09:03:49 am
Hello all

I almost completed my first project (pics will come soon) but I need some help with the very last part, the sound. I got a set of car speakers that I need to connect to my pc. Atm what I have done is connect the wires from the speakers with a Jack-stick to see if that was possible. But all I get is very little sound. I must stress that I have no idea how to connect these properly but at least I gave it a go:-)
Can anyone help me with what I should do/try/buy??

Thanks in advance

You need an Amplifier. Do you think a sound card with headphone jack can give enough juice for 2x100W car speakers?

I don't know what is available in the US, but Pyle seems to have some decent priced stuff people are satisfied with:

I have car speakers mounted in my cab and what i did was take an old pair of sizeable PC speakers, crack them open, disconnect the wires from the internal board/amp to the pC speakers, and just spliced in my car speakers, works like a CHAMP!!!
