Title: Need a simple illuminated arcade button. Help!
Post by: harryg on April 04, 2010, 09:48:46 am
I posted this yesterday but I can't find the posting any longer.

I'm hoping someone can help me.  I'm looking for a simple medium sized illuminated blue LED USB button that when pressed will send a "space bar" signal to the computer.

Is there a "ready-made' button like this available?  Is someone willing to make this for me?

I've tried the keyboard-hack to make one, but I'm not good at soldering.  Could someone help!

Thank you,
Harry

Only one button press? Just spacebar?

I think you're in the wrong crowd...

You'll probably need to buy a pushbutton, wire in an LED to it and then hook it up to an encoder like the IPAC.

Thank you gentlemen.  I just ordered the Nano, harness, button, and LED from Andy at ultimarc!  I can't wait to get it.  I hope I can figures out how to hook it all up.

I received the Nano, an LED illuminated button, harness, and connectors.  I downloaded the config program.  But, sadly, I have NO IDEA how to program the Nano, or connect it to the button.

Could someone PLEASE help me?  All I want the button to do is emulate the "space bar".

Help!
