Title: Cant get X arcade stick working in Mameui

I have the solo stick connected via usb, the xarcade test program shows the stick is working fine on this pc.

But i cant get the joystick to do anything in mame. The buttons are all fine, but the joystick wont work.

i have tried num lock on and off and no diffrence, i guess its a mame setting i have wrong, any ideas?

Have you configured the controls in the TAB menu??

Yep that did it i set the 8 positions of the joytick.

I have not set right/right , left/left and right/left, left/right    i dont understand what these are can somone explain?

If your buttons work in mame and the joystick won't...I'll take a guess that a ground connector has slipped off one of the microswitches on the joystick. Double check all the wires to make sure nothing has slipped off. Last thing would be to double check the small molex connector that connects to the PCB.
