Hello!
I found this site and already I'm in love with it! I was looking for a forum dedicated to actually BUILDING and RESTORING arcades so I'm glad I found this :applaud:
I am looking to buy a "Hook" arcade cabinet which is in fine working order except that it needs a power supply. So my question is, what power supply would definilty work on a Hook upright?? The game was made my 'Irem' and released in 1992.
Link to Hook on KLOV:

I asked a very reputable arcade dealer near me, and here is a link to a power supply that he has that he thinks SHOULD work, but wasn't completely sure without seeing the game in person:

Can anyone help????!
Thanks!!!!

This is a more MAME oriented board. You should post your question here:

Faxanadu Champ, welcome to the board.
Try posting your questions in Arcade Miscellaneous (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,24.0.html), or Restorations (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,41.0.html), you might have better luck there. I'm not certain all the restoration guys that are active on this board read the Main forum frequently.

That supply is a standard switcher and should be fine. Tell the Quarterarcade guy that your game is JAMMA if you want to be certain. JAMMA is a wiring standard that many manufacturers started using in the late 80's, and your game is made to that standard.
Good luck and post some pics!
PS: I can't stand Robin Williams. ;)

I agree, visit the Arcade Misc section.
Faxanadu, one of my favorite games.
