Went and bought this, it's USB, but it would seem only PS3.  I can't get it to work on PC the power light is solid and the 1-4 lights are flashing.  I have been looking for drivers with no luck, any suggestions?  I can't take it back and return it.  I may just end up Craigslisting it.

Hack a PC gamepad and replace the PCB?

To my knowledge, ALL USB PS3 controllers are generic USB gamepads as far as protocol goes, even the offical arcade sticks and $300 racing wheels.  Any USB PS3 thing should work on a PC as is. o.o

this one comes up as a generic usb gamepad, (just like my other PS3 gamepad that works) but this one just flashes, it could be defective, but from what ive read the 64 bit windows has issues like this sometimes.  im gonna try it oon my win xp when i make it back by my house.

Okay, FYI...  using http://news.filefront.com/how-to-use-a-ps3-controller-on-a-pc/ (http://news.filefront.com/how-to-use-a-ps3-controller-on-a-pc/) I got it to work on WinXP 32 Bit, but I can't seem to get it to work on my windows 7 64 bit laptop.  Works pretty good, it has a turbo button that sticks, it makes it autoshoot which is great on some games like space invaders but makes games like Donkey Kong Unplayable so....  Good pick up for 10 bucks at Fry's if you are looking for a portable joystick for a 32 bit PC.  Anyone have any luck with a 64 bit OS?  My Logitech gamepads work great on it just not this thing.

Thinking about customizing it, painting the buttons and the case and making it look better...
