I'm also in the UK and I have the same problem when trying to access byoac through aol when I'm visiting the GFs family.
I did manage to get onto byoac by using a proxy server. Probably not ideal but it worked for the access I need.

Ill have to try that then, ent going to be ideal tho. bet it takes hours to post thru one of those. :banghead:

Ya. It's the only time I have used a proxy to be honest and I can't really say I noticed much difference.

Works for text, but not for posting pictures. just times out.

It's likely a DNS issue of some weird kind.
Try this -- drop to a command prompt, and ping forum.arcadecontrols.com. If it returns an IP address then we can verify it's the right IP address. If it has no IP address then that's a problem too.
It should resolve to 74.208.166.36 ... If it doesn't, you can put this entry in your C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file (note - not hosts.sam or hosts.txt, just "hosts") which should fix it. I helped another person using AOL UK with this issue and this was the resolution.
The entry:
74.208.166.36 arcadecontrols.com forum.arcadecontrols.com wiki.arcadecontrols.com files.arcadecontrols.com byoac.com
save the file then try again.
