Title: green zone
Post by: danny_galaga on March 25, 2010, 08:04:10 am

Saw this last night. Bit disappointing. If it was released in 2003 it would have been more interesting. But as it stands, It pretty much tells the story of mystical WMD but with changed names. Some interesting performances, and an interesting chase on foot, followed by eye in the sky helis. And i got a kick out of seeing Dubya and the Wiggles once more  ;D
Quite a contrast to have seen such a good role for Matt Damon last week (Invictus) and this rather ordinary role this week. Bourne Conspiracy this aint...

3/5 anthrax strains

3.5/5 - 300, Max Payne, You dont mess with the Zohan, Yes Man

3/5 - That new Indiana Jones flick, Disturbia, That new TMNT flick,

2.5/5 - Angels and Demons

Or you could just not go to it because it looks like a lame movie.

Just because you think marriage is wrongheaded doesn't mean you won't like Wedding Crashers.  Just cos you're pro-life doesn't mean you won't like Cider House Rules.  This reminds me of the people who refused to see Wall-E cos they were afraid there would be a "don't pollute" message.

Take a breath . . . relax.

I don't care about the message as long as it's not shoved down my throat, however Green Zone managed to do it in the trailer alone.

Well . . . I have to admit, Happy Feet was appallingly bad for countless reasons, but one of them was indeed shoving its message hamfistedly down the viewer's throat.

The thought you of watching Happy Feet was enough to make me laugh. :lol

I've never even seen it or cared, so I had no idea.

I liked Happy Feet until someone clued me in that the movie was cramming a message about autism down our throats.

Just so happens that i am a bit 'autistic' when i choose movies to watch. I deliberately try not to know anything about the movie at all. In the movies i actually don't watch the trailers! Well, i see the first second or two and think 'Nick Nolte', gotta see that. I didn't see a trailer for the green zone at all. I didn't even know it was about fruitless WMD searching.

I thought he was joking... I only saw it once, but the message it pounded me with was global warming.
Definitely won't suffer through it again if he was serious.

I hope Green Zone loses money. Thats about all I can say.  :P
