Hello all,
I'm still tinkering with my new Mamewah install (v0.954b), and I'm using a merged rom set. This is the full Mame 0.70 rom set, so I am missing a few roms from the 0.71 update which I'll have to grab sometime soon :)
Now my Mamewah is running perfectly, and I have it configured to my path settings, and it located 2271 roms (although there should be more located). However, with merged sets it seems to only be showing the "main" rom of the set if you will.
For instance with Pacman... the rom zip file itself is actually puckman.zip -- but of course it's merged, and contains the Pacman roms as well as various clone roms.
Now in my game list, I'm only getting Puckman as an option and not Pacman or the other clones in the zip file. But in my Mamewah config, I do have:
Use Merged Romsets = True
I'm sure it's probalby a simple setting that I'm missing somewhere :)
Any suggestions?
many thanks,
KG

Use Merged Romsets = True
This option is broken atm unfortunately :(
However, what you can do is this:
Use MAME 0.70 (since you have the complete set of .70 roms),
Make a MAME DAT file using 'mame -listinfo > mame.dat' at a commandline,
Set the 'List Generation Method' to 'DAT File Only',
Refresh the list.
ALL games will now show up. Note that if you were to use MAME 0.71, the games you do not have will also show up.
I'll be fixing the Merged Romsets option sometime soon...

Any permanent fix on this one yet Minwah? I see that 0.955b of Mamewah is out, but I think this issue is still there. But a great piece of software nonetheless :)
Please get back to me on this when you get a minute.
Thank you,
KG

Sorry, I haven't fixed this yet :(
Can you not use the method I suggested? Or do you not have a complete romset?
It seems my 'sometime soon' was somewhat over-optimistic :P
