The wireless receiver above will let you sync up to 4 wireless controllers at once and I've tried this with mine to play NBA JAM in MAME.  I use this receiver for my two wireless HAPP/iL fight sticks as well which are Hori Tekken 6 wireless PCBs which I removed from their controller and made my own custom fight stick.  You can see my signature for that build.  I've never owned a PS3 but I believe their wireless controllers are sync'd up via bluetooth?  That might be another option but the above might be better option as I can confirm it works great.  I have to see if I can use my Microsoft Wireless racing wheel on the PC for driving games like Cruisin USA or Continental Circus.
