I get informed by McAfee everyday with new threats etc. becuase of my IT job.
And i thought it was nice to share this one:
The Generic Downloader.z Trojan masquerades as PlayStation 2 emulation software. This variant posts sensitive information from the infected machine to several websites, and downloads and installs more malicious files. All files downloaded by this malware are already detected as FakeAlert-MA.gen.
Now they never tell me what .exe the viruses are found in but i just thought to tell you to update your virusscanners before installing a new ps2 emulator.

not sure if its the case here... but a few virus scanners used to tag a lot of apps compiled with some free compilers since a lot of viruses are compiled with them also (the scanners looks for chunks of code that look the same as known viruses).
Anyway, mame got tagged with it also a few years ago, but it was a mistake with the virus scan application.
(not saying you shouldn't update your virus scan app, and be careful, but they are known for false positives before you start accusing the author.)
