I'm thinking of building this arcade during the summer

I'm trying to get an idea of how much $$ I need to save for paint, plywood, the tv, etc... I have a friend who has all the tools needed to build this and he says he can extrapolate the dimensions from the 3d drawing in the thread if I knew what was going to be inside of it.
My question is, what kind of monitor would you guys suggest for this type of build? He used and 28" LCD computer monitor, but those are pretty rare or expensive. I can get a 32" lcd tv for about the same price.

I actually went into the fys by my house and bought a 27"1080p LCD computer monitor. Its bad ass. SFIV looks amazing

ahh ok so I can expect to spend about 350 for the monitor
