So I really enjoy "I'm Sorry" for some reason. There's just something about a Jackie Chan-like character running around with Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, etc chasing. If you get caught by MJ, he turns S&M and whips you with you in your whitey tighties!
So, what other games are there that people have found that are off color? I'm thinking things like:
- You are Hitler and have to run around collecting Jewish stars to return them to a prison
- You are a stereotypical black person running around collecting chicken and watermelons
- Chiller, for obvious reasons
I'm not interested so much in the nudity type stuff, more the shock value type games. These could be arcade or console for that matter. This is just for fun, I'm not trying to offend anyone here.

That game is awesome. I remember the day my wife and I discovered it on our A-Z MAME journey. We took turns playing it for about an hour. :lol
Some people find Puli Rula objectionable, but I think it's a great game.

I came across a shooting game called One Shot One Kill (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=13450). In one level, you shoot people who jump the turnstiles in a subway station. In another you shoot the teenage girls who are trying to run away from home, so they turn around and go back. And in another, you shoot subway train rider's hands who are trying to reach up a teenage girls skirt (who is wearing a schoolgirl outfit).
Strange, indeed. But fun.

That sounds hilarious! I'll have to give that one a go for sure. And, it's a gun game so I can get more use out of my guncons.

Dear Mr. Victim,
While we appreciate your response and the added value your linked video brings to this thread, we cordially request that you post some sort of explanation, a disclaimer even, expounding on the reasons your video includes a crosshair, assumed to be used for aiming purposes during game play.
It is the fear of this entity that your negligence in doing so might provoke another 10-page long thread on whether the AimTrak necessitates use of the crosshair during gameplay, which as we all know, is not the least bit relevant to this forum posting. Your haste in providing this additional information is appreciated.
Failure to produce such a disclaimer will of course result in the immediate change of your title under your Avatar to "---steaming pile of meadow muffin----stirrer". And you will get poked in the eye with a stick.
Regards,
The Lightgun Moderation Group

One of the many problems with political correctness.
The best way to handle it is to say exactly what you think.

Is there a way to turen off the cross hairs in mame? I haven't got any guns yet and haven't messed with the settings because I use a mouse sometimes to play shooters. But they can be removed?

When you give Postal 2 a go, make sure you get the Gary Coleman cheat/addon. You then can go around peeing on Gary.

There's no cheat/addon. He's in the game from the get-go.

There was always Conkers bad fur day. There's just something about a game made by Nintendo where you're a squirrel who gets drunk and then pee's on fire to put it out.

GinsuVictim,
Don't be so picky ::), although I didn't specifically say exactly what I was talking about, I was referring to the Gary Coleman cheat as follows:
Bystanders Become Gary Coleman
Activate cheat mode, then press ~ and enter whatchutalkinbout

So.. thought I'd check out the boards while at the airport and I ran across this interesting thread.
At least to me. It makes sense to not call people who are descendants of Indigenous people "Indian" ... I think for me part of it is to respect those people and what they wish to be called, but most of it is also because they were called "Indian" because someone a looooooooong time ago mistakenly thought they were in the country of India. This was a pretty big mistake, so to reproduce this mistake and insist on using this term based on a mistake makes no sense.
And someone said something about wanting to be called European American... In many research papers that I've read "White" people are referred to as European Heritage, European American, Caucasoid, Caucasian, and White. So really, people of color aren't the only ones that have multiple names =) And yes, saying "injun" is wrong.. just as saying "cracker" and "whitey" are as well.
I sort of do agree with the guy that I'd prefer people just say what they think, that way I'd know who to stay away from and who I should be weary of. I think, at least in California, people are so worried about being politically correct that you actually can't tell how people really feel (which can sometimes be more dangerous). Although, at the same time I would I wouldn't want to be surrounded by a racist environment. However, I have met people who grew up in racist households and have challenged the ideas (when they were older) and have actually been able to change some of the ideas their parents have had about women or people of color.. so you can't just judge people base on that alone.
Anyways.. Yeah I remember playing kkk mario once. It was when I had just found out about emulation and I was showing my friend ( lady college friend0 how cool it was to play nes on the comp. Yeah, that was embarrassing once I realized what the pointy hats and the characters were suppose to represent.

I have a funny story re: racism. I was on a bus going through this area called Newton [about 40 minutes from downtown vancouver, BC]. This is a heavy east indian neighborhood. These 3 east indian guys started calling me cracker and basically daring me to get off the bus. Yup, I'm one of those damn whiteys. Anyway, they were calling me cracker, and white bread, and it was actually pretty funny. I started laughing at them and eventually even they couldn't take themselves seriously and started laughing with me. It was pretty funny, but probably one of those you-had-to-be-there type deals.
I personally enjoy a good off colour joke. Stereotypes are fun. The difference is knowing what's real and what's in good fun. I think white people are just led to believe they are the most racist people because of what's gone down in the last few hundred years. Name calling is the least of people's worries. Racism isn't about name calling, it's about bustin heads and making people suffer. Playground kids call each other names. I drop all sorts of bad words in the spirit of fun with my friends [who, coincidentally are pretty much a bag of skittles when it comes to skin tones].
Anyway, I gotta say I really enjoy one shot one kill! Thanks for the recomendation!

I would agree with that, if you have friends who are willing to joke with you and are pretty close you can make these type of jokes. They even sometimes ease the tension between groups. There's just some things that are over the line like Carlos Mencia and Kramer's (Michael Richard) whole laugh factory standup thing that happened about a year or 1 1/2 ago. I would also add to that comment that it's about knowing the different about what's in good fun and what's real :-\

Don't utter that name unless you put "joke thief" in front of it.
-
yup.. that's exactly what he is
-
- Chiller, for obvious reasons
What do you mean Chiller is inappropriate ??? My 10 year old son is set on making a run at the world record on it.
;)
I was just playing WhoDunit (Exidy 440 series like Chiller) and laughed out loud at the "Killer Pimp" who walked onto the screen saying "Gimme Five" and throwing his pimp hat. (I had never actually played WhoDunit before and had been saving it for a night like tonight). Cheyenne could also be seen as inappropriate with its portrayal of Indians and their cries of "Pale Face". Crackshot has an easter egg where you can shoot the bikini off of a girl. Add in Death Race and you have the best of Exidy -- fun games best played with tongue firmly in cheek.

I fired Puli Rula up this evening. I wouldn't say it's particularly objectionable, but I did say WTF!? several times. That's exactly what I'm talkin' about! What's with the lady waving from the flag pole and the dude smoking whatever that was (incense?) while trying to lick you?!
It's so strange...I LOVE IT! :laugh2:

Depends on the rom version.

Ganbare Ginkun is another 'WTF' game... I'm not sure you'd really call it inappropriate, but it's definitely... strange..
-
I played the world version. Perhaps I need to fire up the Japanese release. I should have known it would be even more strange, I just figured I'd be able to read the instructions with the world release easier. Nice!

I watched the video at gamesdbase and I'm not sure what to say. If that's typical of the minigames, then wow.

Can't forget the Leisure Suit Larry games...

Whole point of the game is getting your little guy laid. :lol
-
Ahhh yes, Leisure Suit Larry! I connect that more with old DOS PC gaming, but it's certainly a bit odd. I would say it leans more to the standard "mature" category, but there is a bit of shock value in it beyond the smutty content.

Don't you whippersnappers forget Gotcha! or Score ... granted the graphics did leave a ton (well, pretty much everything) to the imagination, but the premise was the same as LSL.

The majority of misfitmame is pretty dodgy.

Regarding some games of my childhood:
Lula: The Sexy Empire (also known as Wet: The Sexy Empire) is a business simulation game for Windows. The game revolves around building a multi-million dollar erotica industry. Carmageddon is the first of a series of graphically violent driving-oriented video games produced by Stainless Games, published by Interplay and SCi. It was inspired by the 1975 cult classic movie Death Race 2000. [WIKI] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmageddon) Carmageddon 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=464RaalKaLs#)
Blood is a PC game developed by 3D Realms and Monolith Productions and distributed by GT Interactive. Development was underway at 3D Realms in parallel with a number of other well-known titles. I also remember playing a bootleg game for Sega Megadrive that i could never find emulated.
It featured a witch, hunting hideous creatures on a scenery containing fleshy walls giving birth to babies that you had to dispose of.
I wish i could go back in time and get my hands on that cartidge. It was a multi-game bootleg of awesomeness!
In my opinion, most of the successful games produced in the 90's were all about controversy and violence. :lol

EDIT: Disregard the oldtimer ... gonna go back to playing some Exidy games ...
