So I was going to build a whole new cab but then today I came upon an awesome score. I was GIVEN two free cabs!
First is River Patrol. I am not horrible familiar with this one. I am aware of the title and have even played it but I have never seen a cab out in the wild. I am fairly certain that this was converted from something much cooler to river patrol. I just had to splice the power cable back together and it was up and running. If anyone can give me some insight to river patrol it would be appreciated

Next up was the Golden Axe. Again I had to splice in the power cable. Its getting power. The marquee lights up and I can hear the speakers running. I even get a little "boop" every 10 seconds or so but the screen seems to be completely dead. All the wiring to and from the crt seems to be solid. Is there anything I should or could check (without blowing myself up) for the crt?

Either way its a pretty sweet score for $0.00

The River Patrol looks like a Midway cabinet with a horizontal monitor in it. I'm assuming those are tiny P1 and P2 buttons on the top-right of the control panel? And also, that's the back of the "river patrol" cabinet in the background of the first Golden Axe photo?
Going by all that, guess #1 from this enthusiastic rookie is going to be that it was a Bosconian cabinet, with an original (but stripped clean) bosconian control panel. Does it have a serial number on the back, above the door?
Oh, and River Patrol doesn't look to be very exciting at first glance. Looks to be a great restoration project though, putting it back to a Bosco. Not many of them around.

The midway cab was a Rally-x maybe.

Good call Lew!
It is almost undoubtedly a RallyX. Since I last posted I was looking inside and found the paper with the dip switch settings. The page was saying things like "cars per coin" and "car speed". I knew it was a midway but now I exactly what kind of midway. Thanks for the sleuthing help!
Now if someone could help me get this Golden Axe up and running :P
