i wouldnt call it a wonnabe but a simplified vewlix. i would build it with sides made of 1 solid piece , close the ugly gap between marquees and monitor and use a plexi or floatglas to protect the screen. i would skip the vewlix sharp edged control panel , a puzzlepart cabinet corps or a marqueesholder made or 100 glued stripes of wood. better spend the money on a superb monitor and controls . hm .. u make me think of a mini vewlix ..

there is a tinted plexi glass protecting the monitor..cant tell?
oh yeah I am probably gonna ditch the marquee box idea and come up with a better marquee like molded plexi glass or something(naomi cabinet maquees look amazing). I forgot why I even had that gap in the first place. I think because I saw something like that in another design(random capcom cabinet or something)
I really dont like the "one wood piece" idea. the sides kinda look cooler and I have options for sidearts as well(next one will have sidearts for sure)

Wow that looks great! And you built that just for fun? Hell I want to finish mine just for fun to see if it will be as good as yours

well fun as I can actually do this on my own now because how light LCD monitors are. back in the day building cabinets was a nightmare with them huge CRTs :-[

What size/model is that monitor?

hann-g 28". this is probably the only 28" LCD. looks really good imo. I love the auto input detection. I got it on sale for 300 but now its like 350 on newegg(STILL a good deal)

Nice build, I love the t-mold slot idea. I like the marquee as well, even the gap. It would be cool if you could bend the marquee backward or something to get it out of the way when not in play (kind of like the original vewlix cp but for the marquee). Can't wait till the side art edition comes out.

thats actually a realy good design man. I wish I had of gone with something like that...I'd be done with mine by now for sure.
